Bailey Curry will begin her second season as Midway's softball coach in the spring of 2026.
In her first season, Midway put together a record of 16-32. Under Curry's coaching, four Eagle hitters recorded batting averages of over .300. Leading the charge was centerfielder Ryann Berger, who hit .388 and had a River States Conference-best 38 stolen bases.
Curry started her coaching career at the NCAA Division-I level, serving as a graduate assistant at Bellarmine. She then spent the 2024 season as an assistant at Division-II Cedarville (Ohio), working heavily with the team's hitters, infielders and catchers.
Before getting into coaching, Curry was one of the most decorated high school players in the history of Kentucky. Playing at Anderson County High School in Frankfort, she graduated in 2017 after hitting a state-record 75 home runs.
She then turned that into a great college career at three different Division-I schools. She was Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year at Toledo in 2018, hit .329 on an NCAA Tournament-qualifying Louisiana-Lafayette team in 2021 and set a school record with 18 multi-RBI games in her lone season at Western Kentucky in 2022.
