MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway had a busy second weekend of the men's swimming season, hosting Lindsey Wilson and Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday before traveling to Danville, Ky. to face Centre on Sunday.
In Saturday's triangle meet, the Eagles fell 186-43 against Lindsey Wilson and 164-52 to Indiana Wesleyan. On Sunday, they lost 153-55 to Centre.
The highlight of the weekend was individual wins by Daniel Maia and Jack Logan against Centre.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Maia came out on top of the four-man field in 1:06.84. In the 1,000 freestyle, Logan won in 11:48.97.
After two wins in the season-opening meet against Pikeville, Jalen Wright earned a pair of seconds Sunday. Wright swam the 50 freestyle in 23.65 seconds and the 100 free in 51.93.
Maia, Logan and Wright were also part of a second-place swim in the 200 medley relay Sunday, teaming with Jacob Williams to finish in 1:49.73. Also taking second in the 100 fly was Challen Waychoff, who swam a 1:01.07.
Midway gets two weeks off before traveling to Portsmouth, Ohio for a triangular against Shawnee State and West Virginia Tech on Oct. 26.
