Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL)

In 2020, the National Association of Intercollegeiate Athletics (NAIA) became the first collegiate athletics association to adopt Name, Image and Likeless (NIL) legislation, empowering student-athletes to benefit from their personal brand while preserving the values of collegiate athletics.

Today, NAIA student-athletes have the opportunity to earn compensation through endorsements, appearances, social media partnerships, camps, autograph signing, and other NAIA activities without compromising their eligibility. As the landscape of Collegiate Athletics continues to evolve, the NAIA remains committed to supporting student-athletes through policies that promote opportunity, education, and responsible participation in NIL.

To learn more about the NAIA's NIL legislation, student-athletes are encouraged to visit the NAIA's NIL webpage.
