PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -  The Midway men's swimming team joined West Virginia Tech in traveling to Shawnee State for a triangle meet Saturday.

The Eagles lost 412-300 to Tech and 528-289 to Shawnee State.

The highlight for Midway was three third-place finishes, two coming from Jalen Wright. Wright finished the 100-meter freestyle in 58.04 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.54.

The other third-place showing came from Jacob Williams, who swam a 2:19.20 in the 200 free.

The Eagles and West Virginia Tech will meet again next Saturday, when the Bears come to Versailles for a 1 p.m. dual.
