Wright, Maia earn wins at Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Midway got wins from Jalen Wright and Daiel Maia and also took second in five events in a 130-59 loss to Campbellsville in men's swimming of Friday night.

Jalen Wright got a win in the 50-meter freestyle, finishing in 26.39 seconds. Wright was also the runner-up in the 100 free, finishing in 58.44.

Maia was victorious in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:34.08. He came in just ahead of teammate Jacob Williams, who swam a 2:34.66.

Williams also took second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:12.36. Other runners-up for the Eagles were Jack Logan in the 200 free (2:23.43) and Challen Waychoff in the 100 butterfly (1:09.19).

The Eagles return to action in two weeks, traveling to Danville, Ky. for the three-day Speedo Mid-Season Invitational at Center College on Nov. 22-24.
