NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Carson Miner successfully built on a recent conference championship by breaking the Midway program record in the 1,500-meter run at the Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt University.
Milner ran a 3:54.14, the fastest time in his heat and 23rd-best mark overall in a loaded field where all but one attached runner that finished ahead of him was from an NCAA Division-I school.
The finish was more than four seconds faster than the 3:58.65 he ran as last week's River States Conference Outdoor Championships,
a race Milner won.
He was the only Eagle to compete at the Music City Challenge. Midway's next scheduled event is the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. on May 10.
