Midway University

Ashley Freire begins her fourth season with the Midway competitive cheer program in 2025-26. After years of incremental improvement, the program took a major step forward in 24-25.

The Eagles had the top-three scores in program history, highlighted by an 86.81-point score at the Mid-South Conference Championships, where Midway finished in third place for the second year in a row. The program's five best event scores have all been recorded in the last two seasons.

The 2025 Eagles had three all-conference selections in Marisa Folino, Shaunessy Beavan and Ryleigh Hargis, with Folino becoming the first All-MSC honoree in program history.

For her efforts, Freire was named Mid-South Coach of the Year.
