Krae Kelso has been with the Midway University Sprint Football Team since its inception in 2022. He was officially named the program's head coach in January of 2025 after previously serving as the interim head coach.
He began his career at Midway as the defensive back’s coach before taking over as the offensive coordinator for the past two seasons, helping four players earn All Midwest Sprint Football League honors on the offensive side of the ball.Â
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Kelso was a high school quarterback in Kansas City, Mo. where he won the Frank Fontana Award, which is given to the best high school football player in the Kansas City Metro area for classes 1-4.
He finished his career at Dakota College at Bottineau (N.D.) where he helped lead the Lumberjacks to an 8-3 record with a No. 12 ranking and Graphic Edge Bowl Appearance.
Kelso holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas and completed General Studies at Dakota College at Bottineau. Â
