Anthony Passarette will enter his fifth year as an athletic trainer at Midway University at the start of the 2024-25 school year, after arriving on campus in March of 2022.
He came to Midway after spending six years as the head athletic trainer at Kentucky State University. He also spent a year working at the University of Cincinnati.Â
Well-respected by his peers, Passarette was honored with two major awards in the summer of 2025. He was named Athletic Trainer of the Year for colleges and universities by the Kentucky Atheltic Trainers' Society in June before winning the same honor for the River States Conference in July.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Anthony completed his undergraduate work at Stony Brook University in 2013 before getting a master's at PennWest California (Pa.), previously known as California University of Pennsylvania.
He is passionate about helping others and his dog Ody.
