Kennedy Mang enters her fourth season as head coach of the men’s volleyball program this fall. In her time at Midway, she has also served as the athletic department's Senior Woman Administrator.
Mang has brought some talent to Midway not only on the court but the bench as well. Julia Pagan won the Mid-South Conference Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2024, while freshman Lincoln Anderson recorded a program-record 193 digs and senior Jai'Den Chinnis had a program-record 63 blocks in 2025.
In her first four seasons at Midway, she served as both the men and women's coach, she's led the women's program to 25 wins and coached outside hitter Aubry Koester to the third and fourth selections on the River States Conference First Team of her career.
Mang took over the volleyball programs at Midway following a two-year stint at Trinity International (Ill.), where she served as the assistant coach for the women’s program and associate head coach of the men’s program.
Mang helped lead the Trojans to 51 victories in her two seasons which included a 30-9 mark in 2022. That season saw the Trojans win the 2022 NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) National Championship.
Because of her efforts last season, Mang was voted the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Assistant Coach of the Year. She was also awarded the Mideast Assistant Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Mang also has experience coaching at the club level including the Barren River Area Volleyball Organization (BRAVO) in Kentucky and the Lakes Region Volleyball Club in New Hampshire.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Mang enjoyed a successful playing career at Plymouth State (N.H.), an NCAA Division III institution.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Plymouth State University before earning her Master of Science in Recreation and Sports Administration from Western Kentucky University.
