Tyler Beck enters his first year as Sports Information Director at Midway University after being hired in August 2026.
As the third full-time Sports Information Director in program history, Beck oversees all media relations and communications efforts for Midway's 29 varsity sports.
Prior to joining Midway, Beck covered numerous national championships and conference tournaments, including the 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship, the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight (2025 & 2026), the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Elite Eight (2026), the 2025 Mountain East Conference Basketball and Softball Championships, the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship, and the 2026 Northeast Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship.
While earning his degree at Point Park University, Beck worked in the Athletic Communications office, assisting with game day operations, live event coverage, and media relations for all varsity sports. He also served as a statistician for athletic events at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, Carlow University, and Chatham University.
Beck graduated from Point Park University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Communication. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
