(Midway, Ky.) - Midway's soccer team has swept KIAC's Player of the Week awards for October 20. Tonya Cocanougher (JR/Versailles, KY) was named defensive player of the week, while Lorna Mason (SR/South Yorkshire, UK) earned offensive player of the week honors.

Cocanougher earned recognition for her strong play at center back, leading the defense and helping to limit opponents' shots. Her efforts were an important part of Midway's back-to-back conference wins against Brescia and Cincinnati Christian.

Mason has now captured her second offensive player of the week award of the season. In last week's games, she scored two goals and added an assist in the win against Brescia. She also had a pair of goals in the win against Cincinnati Christian. The Midway senior ranks fourth in the KIAC in goals (8) and total points (18).
