(New Albany, Ind.) - The Midway Eagles forged through snowy roads to take on conference foe IU Southeast on Sunday but fell 67-61 at the hands of the Grenadiers.
The Eagles were plagued by fouls and poor free-throw shooting, scoring only seven points at the line compared to IU Southeast's 19. There were bright spots, however. As she has done all season, Me'Lisa Martinez (SR/Nashville, TN) stepped up on offense, pouring in 20 points. Miranda Rone (SR/Bowling Green, KY) contributed another 18, while McKinzie Laswell (SR/Paoli, Ind.) scored 14 of her own.
Midway is 11-15 overall and 7-7 in conference play.
