Alexis Little earns RSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- It was announced on Monday, October 1, by the conference office that Alexis Little had been named the River States Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performance on the field the week of September 24-30.

The weekly honor is the first of the season for Little, while it also is the first of her career. She is the second Midway women's soccer player to win the award this year as she joins Regan Snyder who won the award on September 17.

The junior from Nicholasville, Kentucky posted a big week offensively to help lead the Eagles to an 8-0 victory over Brescia (Ky.).

Little scored Midway's first goal of the game less than three minutes in to give her team the early 1-0 lead. The goal proved to be the game winner for the Eagles. She later assisted on a goal by Snyder before scoring her second goal came in the 84th minute to stretch the lead to 6-0.

After collecting two goals and an assist against the Bearcats, Little now has three goals and two assists on the season. She has taken on a bigger role offensively this year as she has stepped into a defensive midfielder position.

After last week's results, the Eagles are now 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

They will return to the pitch on Tuesday, October 2, when they travel to Berea (Ky.) for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff.
