MIDWAY, Ky. – This past week for the Midway University esports team saw a relatively light schedule with only three matches on the docket. The Call of Duty squad picked up a forfeit win while the Overwatch team saw their game with State University of New York Potsdam postponed. In games that were played, the League of Legends team suffered a pair of losses to the University of Windsor (Ont.) and Defiance College (Ohio) while Rocket League remains undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Hocking College (Ohio).

With the results, the Eagles now stand at 14-7 overall this season.

Rocket League improved its record to 5-0 with its 3-0 victory against the Hawks. The team was led offensively by Nate Martin (Pickerington, Ohio) who scored 12 goals in the contest to go along with three assists. Trevor Alexander (Somerset, Ky.) added nine goals while dishing out five assists and Lonnie W. Loveless III (Somerset, Ky.) recorded seven goals and six assists.

League of Legends started its week on Sunday, October 23 when it faced off with the University of Windsor and the Eagles suffered a 2-0 loss to the Lancers. On Wednesday, October 26, Midway did battle with Defiance College (Ohio) and took a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Yellow Jackets.

Call of Duty picked up a win by forfeit on Wednesday afternoon while Overwatch saw their Thursday night game postponed. The time and date for the matchup with State University of Potsdam will be announced in the near future.

Coach Alyssa Tinker's teams will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 28 when the Rocket League squad takes on the University of North Alabama. League of Legends will meet the University of Louisville (Ky.) at 7 p.m.  on Wednesday, November 2 while the Overwatch players will take on Champlain College at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 3.
