Box Score KOKOMO, Ind. - An offensive avalanche by Indiana Kokomo buried the Midway women's soccer team, as the Cougars scored four goals in the opening 20 minutes en route to a 6-1 win over the Eagles in River States action Saturday.
Elaina Page scored the first goal just 3:21 in before Kendra Brewer scored three more in the ensuing 15:22 as IUK upped its conference record to 6-0-1.
Oddly enough, no goals were scored by either Midway's Haylee Applegate or IUK's Keeley Hoopingarner, who are currently tied for the conference lead with 11.
Midway's lone score came by defender Holly Johnstone, who netted her first goal of the season unassisted in the 74th minute.
Now 6-3 overall and 3-3 in the RSC, the Eagles' six remaining games will all be played at home. The first of which is a non-conference matchup with Campbellsville-Harrodsburg at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
