MIDWAY, Ky. - A balanced offense led the way in a get-right game for the Midway women's basketball team, which was in control throughout a 77-50 win over River States Conference foe Brescia at Marshall Gymnasium Saturday.

After the Bearcats scored first 39 seconds into the game, the Eagles immediately answered with a Sereniti Webb layup nine seconds later and would never trail again. The layup was the start of an excellent day for Webb, who had a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double while also blocking three shots.

She was one of four Eagles to score in double figures. Kassidy Daugherty had 13 points, Jermyra Christian had 12 and Atlantis White added 10 off the bench for Midway, which hit 10 3-pointers and mad 13-of-15 from the foul line.

Christian also had six rebounds and tied Bree Howard with a game-best four assists. The Eagles held a 50-42 rebounding edge over a Bearcat team that entered Saturday averaging 9.9 rebounds per game more than their opponents.

Midway is now 3-6 overall and pulls even at 1-1 in the RSC after an 85-70 loss in its conference opener at Oakland City on Tuesday. The Eagles have now won seven straight against the Bearcats, with the last six all coming by more than 20 points.

The Eagles have a week off before traveling to St. Louis to face the University of Health and Sciences and Pharmacy in a non-conference matchup at 4 p.m. next Saturday.
