EATON, Ohio - Midway saw its women's soccer season draw to a close with a 2-0 loss at Indiana East on Saturday.
The Eagles were still mathematically alive for a spot in the River States Conference Tournament entering the day, but needed a win and help to qualify.
Midway fell in a 1-0 hole just 1 minute, 6 seconds into the game on a Zaryah Griffen goal. The Red Wolves then doubled the lead on a Grace Harris goal less than five minutes until halftime.
Midway ends the season with an overall record of 7-9-2. The Eagles finished atop the conference in several offensive categories, with Evie Clare leading the the RSC in goals (13) and points (32), Anna Kneisley leading in assists (10) and Haylee Applegate finishing atop the conference in shots (75).
