VERSAILLES, Ky. - Midway earned wins in 10 of 12 events to earn a runaway 122-43 win over West Virginia Tech in a women's swimming dual meet Saturday.
After earning four wins in Midway's previous meet, Josie Briner picked up three more, two as an individual and one in relays.
She swan the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.70 and the 200 butterfly in 2:24.48.
In relays, her, Katie Heath, Kaelynn Martin and Sammy Friel won the 400 medley in 4:23.48. It was one of two relay wins for the Eagles, with Friel, Amber Klose, Isabel Flores and Madison Richey winning the 400 free in 4:00.63
Heath and Martin picked up two individual wins as well. Heath won the 200 free in 2:13.78 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:40.26, while Martin took first in both the 50 free (26.85) and the 100 fly (1:10.37).
Other individual winners were Flores in the 100 breast (1:16.90) and Friel in the 200 fly (2:24.88).
The Eagles will look to keep things going next Friday, when they face Campbellsville on the road at 5:30 p.m.
