MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway's Call of Duty Esports team is just one win away from completing an undefeated fall with a conference championship.

The Eagles easily handled the British Columbia-based University of the Fraser Valley 3-0 in the semifinal round of the Playfly College Esports Mixed 2 Conference Platinum II and Below Playoffs on Thursday night. 

This marked the second time the teams were scheduled to play this season, but the first meeting that took place, as the Eagles won the first one by forfeit back on Sept. 26.

With the win, Midway runs its record to 6-0 on the season and will face Sacramento State (Calif.) in the championship round at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 5.

In five completed matches, Midway has yet to drop a game this season, a run that included a 3-0 win over Sacramento State when the teams first played on Oct. 7.
