MIDWAY, Ky. - The Midway League of Legends team is moving onto the second round of the postseason.
The fourth-seeded Eagles began the Southeast Regional Playoffs with a 2-0 win over fifth-seeded Murray State Blue on Wednesday night.
Midway is now onto the semifinals, where it will face top-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) on April 3 at 8 p.m.
TOP-SEED ROCKET LEAGUE OPENS PLAYOFFS FRIDAY
Midway's top-seeded Rocket League team looks to join their League of Legends counterparts in the semifinals when it opens Southeast Region play against No. 8 Alabama-Huntsville at 8 p.m. Friday.
The Eagles haven't lost a single match all season and are looking to add to their championship resume after winning the Mideast Conference Championship in December.
CALL OF DUTY TEAMS GO 2-2
Elsewhere, Midway's Call of Duty 1 team went 1-2 on Tuesday, defeating Akron 3-1, before losing 3-2 to CSP eSports and Northwood eSports. Call of Duty 2 was victorious on Wednesday, defeating HCC Scotties Yellow 3-0.
