MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway dealt with a familiar bad feeling Sunday afternoon, as another sluggish second half dropped the Eagles to 2-3 in a 4-1 loss to Cincinnati-Clermont in a non-conference women's soccer matchup.

A game that was scoreless at the half changed for good when Brooklyn Applegate scored just 19 seconds into the second half.

The goal was assisted by Kerianne White, who dominated the final 45 minutes, adding two goals and another assist for the Cougars, who out-shot Midway 15-4 after halftime.

That was the exact same, second-half shot differential the Eagles faced in their previous game against Asbury, in which they saw a 2-0 lead turn into a 3-2 loss.

Evie Clare scored the Eagles' lone goal unassisted in the 70th minute.

Midway has another stiff challenge Wednesday when it hosts Georgetown at 4 p.m.
