BECKLEY, W.Va. -- The Midway men's soccer team saw its season come to an end on in the River States Conference Tournament Semifinals at the hands of WVU Tech at the YMCA Paul Cline Memorial Sports Complex in Beckley, West Virginia.
The Golden Bears struck first in the 13th minute before scoring three goals in the span of 2:34 late in the first half en route to the 4-0 victory.
WVU Tech (15-0-2) challenged the Midway defense early with heavy pressure before breaking through in the 13th minute when Keishon Clarke scored an unassisted goal.
Clarke wasn't finished there as he would later score the bookend goals of what were three goals in a 2:34 span late in the first half. Vasco Berardo scored the other marker in that span as the Golden Bears would take a 4-0 lead at halftime.
The 4-0 lead would stand throughout the second half as WVU Tech would clinch a spot in the RSC Tournament Final with the 4-0 victory. They finished the match with a 23-2 edge in shots and a 16-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Brayden Gillman and
Lucas Perrotte each accounted for one shot in the loss.
Midway finishes the 2025 season with a 7-10-3 record in Stu Riddle's first season at the helm.
