VERSAILLES, Ky. - Carson Milner's dominant season continued with another comfortable win at the Midway Cross Country Invitational Friday, a race in which the Eagle men's team came in third.
In the six-team race held at the Falling Springs Center in Versailes, host Midway had 75 points, one better than fourth-place Georgetown. Cumberland won with a score of 45, while Lindsey Wilson was second with 62.
Milner got out to a big lead right away and eventually was all by himself as he crossed the finish line in 25:37.28. That was more than 1 minute, 10 seconds faster than runner-up Dashawn Overly, who ran a 26:47.86.

Friday marked the second decisive win of the season for Milner, who finished more than 56 seconds ahead of the field
at the Asbury Opener in August. He also ran the fastest 5K time of his cross country career.
Midway had one other runner on the All-Tournament team (top-20) in
Connor Byrd, who came in 16th in 28:41.44.
Jonathan Kocis and
Lance Logan were 23rd and 24th respectively, Kocis running a 29:19.80, Logan a 29:46.36.Â
Elsewhere,
Ridge Revers was 27th in 30:21.05,
Adam Higgs 30th in 30:35.65 and
Noah Hale 43rd in 33:16.20.
The Eagles return to action for the Louisville Classic on Oct. 4.
