ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Midway wrestling team stepped out of Mid-South Conference action on Saturday, January 17, to battle Missouri Baptist University in a non-conference dual in St. Louis.
The Spartans, who are in the 'receiving votes' portion of the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, won eight of the 10 weight classes to claim the 34-10 victory.
The two lone victories for the Blue and Gold came at 125 where
Zach Lewis won by forfeit, and at 184 where
Sebastian Hutchinson posted a 15-7 major decision victory over Blake Johnson.
Following Saturday's result, the Eagles drop to 2-8 in dual action this season.
Midway is set to return to action on Tuesday, January 27, when they take on seventh-ranked Campbellsville (Ky.).
