MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway hunt seat earned reserve high point honors on each day of the Midway University Shows, with
Finley Scheffel being named high-point rider on Sunday.
On the first day of competition, the hunt seat and western programs held a joint senior day celebration on the final home show of the year.
SATURDAY'S RESULTS
Scheffel's high-point performance came after she earned a pair of first-place finishes. She was the top performer in both open fences and intermediate flat.
Midway got two other first-place riders, with
Reese Dorsey winning in open fences and
Alexis Williams winning limit fences.
Taking second place on Saturday was
Kathryne Hammond in limit flat and
Rachel Watters in pre-novice flat.
SUNDAY'S RESULTS
Midway had four more first-place rides on day two, with Dorsey and Williams repeating in open fences and limit fences.
Other winners were
Puck Helmink in pre-novice flat and Sawyer Elwood in introductory flat.
Scheffel had another strong day as well, finishing second in intermediate fences.
The Eagles have one more regular-season show on the schedule. They will travel to Oxford, Ohio for the Miami University Shows on March 7-8.
