ELKHART, Ind. - Midway will be well-represented at the 2026 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships, with
Josie Briner,
Kaelynn Martin and
Sydney Eastman all receiving invitations on Friday.
Briner, a junior, will compete for the third year in a row. This year, she'll take part in the both the 100- and 200-yard butterfly, as well as the 500 freestyle
She is the only Eagle to ever reach the finals of a national race, placing 13th in the 200 fly in both 2024 and 2025.
Martin, who made several national cuts but didn't get an invite last season, got the nod as a sophomore and will race in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and the 100 fly.
Eastman, a freshman, will make her debut in both the 100 and 200 fly as well as the 500 freestyle.
This year's race at the Elkahrt Aquatics Center in Elkhart, Ind. will be held on March 4-7.
This marks the second time the Eagles have had three national qualifiers, with Briner,
Sammy Friel and Lauren Kinzeler all making it in 2024.
