CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Another ranked, Mid-South opponent awaited Midway in its men's wrestling regular-season closer Thursday, as the Eagles were defeated 47-9 by No. 8 Campbellsville.
After forfeiting the opening match, the Eagles got on the board at 133 pounds, as
Alex Velazquez defeated Troy Kennedy in an 8-3 decision.
The next seven matches were dominated by the Tigers, who got three wins by forfeit, three by pinfall and one by tech fall before the Eagles ended the night with a heavyweight win.
Sparsely used freshman
Kenneth Henson made the most of his opportunity, scoring a pinfall over Ethan Heady.
Closing out the regular season 2-10, the Eagles will travel to Bowling Green for the Mid-South Conference Championships next Friday and Saturday.
