Wilson tabbed RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Florence, Ky. – Junior striker, Brad Wilson, was named the River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

It is the first weekly award in the history of the Midway men's soccer program as they are in their first year as a program.

Wilson also won the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on November 2nd, when he was a sophomore at St. Catharine (Ky.).

The Doncaster, England native tallied two goals and an assist last week in a pair of overtime wins last week over Point Park (Pa.) and Carlow (Pa.).

In the Eagles 1-0 victory over Point Park on Thursday, October 6, Wilson collected the game-winning assist on a golden goal by his teammate, Max Bristow (Exeter, England) in the 93rd minute in the first overtime.

Two days later on Saturday, October 8, Wilson collected two goals in Midway's 3-2 victory over Carlow. The game would go into double overtime as it was Wilson's second goal that proved to be the dagger. Wilson scored the golden goal in the 108th minute to give the Eagles the win.

Wilson ranks second in the River States in both shots per game (3.67) and shots on goal per game (2.22).

The Eagles are currently riding a two game winning streak with a 4-4-1 record overall and a 3-2 mark in the RSC. Midway is currently in third place in the conference.
