Midway Wrestling quartet set for NAIA Wrestling National Championship

WICHITA, Kans. -- After having the last couple of weeks to prepare, Midway's wrestling quartet of Kyler Adams, Anthony Caruso, Brent Hudgins, and Isaiah McDougal are set to compete in the NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championships on March 4-5.

The tournament gets underway on Friday (March 4) at 11 a.m. ET with Session I that features the first round as well as the second round in both the championship and consolation brackets.

Session II on Friday begins at 7 p.m. ET and features the championship quarterfinals as well as the third and fourth rounds of the consolation bracket. Session III is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, while the fourth and final session is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

Kyler Adams (Wetumpka, Ala.) and Anthony Caruso (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) at 141, Brent Hudgins (Cynthiana, Ky.) at 157, and Isaiah McDougal (Madison, Ala.) at 197 are all making their first-ever appearance at the National Championship.

All four grapplers earned an automatic berth following their performances at the Mid-South Conference Championships on February 19. The quartet helped lead the Eagles to a sixth-place finish at the event.

Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET on Friday at the Hartman Center.
