Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Oakland City scored two goals in a less than three-minute stretch in the first half and never relinquished control, sending Midway to an eighth straight loss in a 3-0 River State Conference men's soccer final Thursday.
Adam Dimba broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 32nd minute, then assisted on a James O'Brien goal just 2 minutes, 48 seconds later. O'Brien then assisted on the only goal of the second half, scored by Pablo Herrero Belmonte.
The Mighty Oaks outshot the Eagles 16-6, with Midway recording just three shots on goal while failing to score for the third consecutive game.
The Eagles, who fall to 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the RSC, are back on the road Saturday, traveling to Columbus, Ind. for their first ever meeting with IUPUC at 7 p.m.
