PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Paying without multiple starters, the Midway men's soccer team couldn't hang with Point Park, as the Pioneers defeated the Eagles 3-0 in the opening round of the River States Tournament Saturday.

RSC goal leader Phillipp Harder scored the game's first goal in the 19th, then added another 84th after Midway pushed its numbers forward. Moritz Sarfert, who assisted on Harder's first goal, sandwiched in a goal of his own in the 55th minute.

Midway finished with just three shots on goal, as its season concluded with an overall record of 6-12.

The Eagles were playing in their first postseason contest since the championship game of the 2017 RSC Tournament. Their 5-5 record in conference play was their best since that 2017 season.
