Men's soccer drops non-conference tilt at Freed-Hardeman

Box Score

HENDERSON, Tenn. - Midway was unable to record a shot on goal in the first half and dropped its final matchup before the start of the conference season, losing 4-1 at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) Saturday.

Anwar Perry was able to get the Eagles on the board with an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute, but by that time, they were already facing a three-goal deficit. The offense was much better in the second half, registering 12 shots and eight shots on goal.

Four different players scored for the Lions, who dropped the Eagles to 1-5 on the season.

Midway now turns its attention to River States Conference play, which begins with a pair of challenging games on the road. The first of which comes on Thursday with a trip to West Virginia Tech.
