CLEVELAND, Ohio – Midway had two wrestlers place at the Bob Del Rosa Open at Case Western Reserve University.
Kaleb Clark and Aaron Garcia both got sixth place in their divisions. Clark went 3-2 at 157 pounds, with Garcia going 2-2 at heavyweight.
Kelton Bailey (125), Tyrique Simms (133), Alex Velazquez (141), Kyler Adams (149), Abe Hafez (165) and Kasen Johnson (174) all won a match, posting a 1-2 record on the day.
Midway was the only NAIA team at the tournament, which featured NCAA Division-I teams Cleveland State, West Virginia, Binghamton, Edinboro, and Ohio University.
Multiple ranked teams in Division-II were also in attendance, including Indianapolis (No. 5), Gannon (No. 8), West Liberty (No. 18), Tiffin (No. 21), Lake Erie (No. 23), and Ashland (No. 25).
Division-III Baldwin Wallace (No. 5) and Ithica (No. 22) were also in attendance.
Midway wil be back on the road next Sunday, traveling to Bristol, Tenn. for the King Open.
