WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Twenty Midway wrestlers took part in the Pepsi Patriot Open, a marathon invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday.

The lone Eagle to place in his weight class was sophomore Aaron Garcia, who finished fifth in the open bracket of the 285-pound weight class. Garcia compiled a record of 2-1.

Elsewhere, Alex Velazquez, Kyler Adams, and Kasen Johnson all earned two wins.

Velazquez (141 freshman/sophomore), Adams (149 open), and Johnson (184 freshman/sophomore) all went 2-2 on the day.

Midway next heads to Cleveland, Ohio, where it will take part in the Bob Del Rosa Ohio Open at 10 p.m. on Nov. 10.
