MARION, Ind. - For the second weekend in a row, the Midway competitive cheer team set a new program record for highest team score, this time doing it at the Wildcat Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan University.

The Eagles finished the two-day, 16-team invite on Saturday with a score of 83 points, good enough for sixth place.

Midway made a major jump up the scoreboard on day two after finishing the first day in 10th place.

The performance was a slight improvement over the previous scoring record of 82.6, set at the Tiger Invitational in Georgetown last weekend.

The Eagles return to action on March 8-9, when they will travel to Bowling Green for the Mid-South Conference Championships.
