GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Midway cheerleading team had its first competition of the season, traveling to Georgetown for the two-round Tiger Invitational Saturday.

The Eagles weren't at their best in the opening round, coming in seventh in an eight-team field with 68.63 points.

They were slightly improved in round two, scoring an even 70 points to come in fifth place.

Midway returns to action next Saturday, when it takes part in the Lindsey Wilson Invitational in Columbia, Ky.
