MIDWAY, Ky. - Fresh off a career-best performance, Midway sophomore goalie Connor Vincent was named River States Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The sophomore from Franklin, Ky. was honored following a 10-save shutout in the Eagles' 3-0 road win at Berea on Friday. It was Vincent's fourth shutout at Midway, and the first in which he recorded double-digit saves.
This marks the first time Vincent has won a league Player of the Week award. He is the first Eagle goalie to capture the honor since Hunter Caudill did so on Sept. 20, 2021.
Midway returns to action Wednesday when it travels to face Union (Ky.) at 7 p.m.
