CINCINNATI, Ohio. - The Midway men's volleyball team came out strong in the first set before ultimately losing 22-25, 25-13, 25-18, 29-27 to Mount Saint Joseph (Ohio) Thursday.
The first match was close but the Eagles were able to pull off the win 25-22, securing the final point on a
Jai'Den Chinnis kill.
The wheels started to fall off the wagon in the second set. The Lions came out with a vengeance and won the next two sets 25-13 and 25-18.
Midway started to rally in the fourth set pushing it to extra points, even pulling ahead at the end 25-24 before ultimately falling 29-27.
Leading the Eagles was Chinnis with nine kills and fourteen points. He was set of from a team effort from
Lincoln Anderson with 24 digs and
Jordan Daily with 25 assists.
Midway will have to watch the tape for their next contest, which happens to be a rematch with Mount St. Joseph in their home opener on Feb. 7th.
