NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Midway scored just 98 seconds into the game, but failed to muster another goal in a 2-1 loss to NCAA Division-II Trevecca Nazarene in men's soccer Saturday.
The Eagles jumped ahead almost instantly on a
Juan Caballero goal off a
Brayden Leger assist. The advantage would last all of 30 seconds, as the Trojans immediately answered on a Luke Tedder goal.
What looked like it would be high-scoring affair would see just one more goal the rest of the way. Unfortunately for Midway, it was scored by TWU's Connor Woulfe in the 41st minute.
Ben Banton had five shots with three on goal while keeper
Connor Vincent recorded seven saves for 3-8-1 Midway.
The Eagles return to River States Conference action on Thursday with a road matchup against in-state rival Brescia.
