OWENSBORO, Ky. - Brescia's offense came out on fire and Midway was unable to mount a response, losing 5-0 in a River States Conference women's soccer matchup Thursday.
The Bearcats held a 17-2 shot advantage in the first half, taking a 4-0 lead into the break. Ana Victorica had a hand in all four goals, scoring two and assisting on the others.
Haylee Applegate was the most productive Eagle offensive player, finishing with four shots, including three of the team's four shots on goal.
Midway drops to 4-6-1 overall and 2-4 in the RSC. The Eagles are back on the road for another conference match Saturday, taking on Rio Grande at 4:30 p.m.
