GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Midway had no answer for nationally ranked Georgetown, as the Tigers took down the Eagles 107-67 in men's basketball Saturday.
In the final game of the Jim Reid Classic, 17th-ranked Georgetown shot nearly 64 percent from the field and were better than 50 percent (12-of-23) from the 3-point line. The Tigers had six players finish the game in double figures.
For the second straight game, the Eagles struggled on the glass, getting out-rebounded 44-26 Saturday. Georgetown also had 23 assists to Midway's six.
Starters
Decoreio Smith and
Sam Parrish scored 13 and 12 points respectively while
Preston Hoskins scored 11 off the bench for the 3-3 Eagles.
Midway is off until Nov. 24, when it travels to face Lindsey Wilson in Columbia. The two teams played earlier this week,
with the Eagles winning 83-69 in overtime.
