DALLAS, Texas - Carson Milner concluded an excellent fall semester with his first ever All-American finish.
Milner took eighth place at the NAIA Marathon Championships on Sunday, capturing the final All-American position with a final time of 2 hours, 31 minutes, 27 seconds.
The junior from Walton, Ky. reached the podium less than a month after
making his first appearance at the NAIA Cross Country Championships. He was also a First-Team All-Conference runner
after finishing fourth at the River States Conference Championships.
He also gave the Eagle men's program an All-American marathon finisher for the third year in a row, following in the footsteps of
Jacob Kocis, who took runner-up at the race in both
2023 and
2024.
Milner was joined by teammates
Connor Byrd, who finished 23rd in 2:41.32, and
Lance Logan, who was 26th in 2:45:09.
The Eagles finished fifth overall in the eight-team field with 37 points. River States rival Indiana East took first with six, well ahead of runner-up Campbellsville, who had 23.
On the women's side,
Ariah Egleston placed 15th with a final time of 3:16:43
