CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville came out on fire at the net and Midway struggled to respond, losing 25-9, 25-8, 25-16 in a River States Conference men's volleyball matchup Friday.
The Tigers had a blistering .619 hitting percentage in the first set then recorded a .483 in the second.
Midway stayed competitive deep into the third set, getting within 14-12 on consecutive Tiger attack errors, but Campbellsville would score 11 of the next 15 points to clinch the sweep.
Things won't be any easier for the Eagles (1-5, 0-3) Saturday, when they travel to face No. 8 Georgetown, the defending NAIA national champion, at noon.
