MIDWAY, Ky. - The Midway men's volleyball team faced a tough opponent Friday night, falling in straight sets to (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.
Though the Tigers controlled much of the match, the Eagles demonstrated moments of strong play, particularly in the second set where they registered a .400 hitting percentage with 10 kills.
Midway showed improved efficiency on offense, with key contributions from Jai'Den Chinnis and Steven Tippenhauer, while Lincoln Anderson provided a crucial service ace to keep the momentum going.
In the third set, Midway tightened up defensively, with Chinnis and Tippenhauer leading the way at the net. The Eagles fought hard to extend rallies and showed strong court coverage, with Braden Cacek, Jordan Daily, and Anderson contributing key digs.
Midway has another tough contest on the schedule tomorrow against No. 11 Georgetown (Ky.). That contest is slated to serve at noon.
