MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Eight Midway players earned a combined nine spots on the All-River States Conference Baseball Team, the league announced Thursday.
Infielder
Eli Glasscock earned a spot on the First Team, while
Blake Kincaid won two awards and was one of five Eagle pitchers to be honored.
FIRST TEAM
Eli Glasscock, Third base -Â Glasscock led the team with 49 hits, 18 extra-base hits, 44 RBIs and nine home runs. He was also the Eagles' most clutch player, delivering three game-winning hits,
including a walk-off grand slam against Pikeville on Feb. 25.
This is the highest conference honor earned by Glasscock, who was a Second-Team selection last year after being an honorable mention in 2023.
SECOND TEAM
Dylan Burton, Starting pitcher -Â Burton led all Midway starters with a 3.71 ERA and tied for the team lead with four wins while striking out 43 batters in 51 innings.
Jackson Lee, Relief pitcher -Â Lee was second amongst qualified pitchers in the RSC with a 2.98 ERAÂ and led the Eagles with 53 strikeouts despite getting only one start. He accumulated a 4-3 record with two saves.
Barrett McGill, Catcher -Â A First-Team player and RSC Newcomer of the Year in 2023, McGill got back on the all-conference squad with a great junior season, where he led the team in batting average (.358), on-base percentage (.510), and OPS (1.125) while hitting eight home runs.
THIRD TEAM
Blake Kincaid, Starting pitcher- Kincaid made the all-conference team for the fourth year in a row after putting up a 4-1 record with 42 strikeouts over 38 innings.
He previously made the All-First Team in 2022, the Second Team in 2024 and the Third Team in 2024.
Tommy Henninger, Starting pitcher- The transfer led all Eagle starters with 48 strikeouts while recording just nine walks in 12 starts this season.
Dalton Soergel, Relief pitcher - In 24 innings, Soergel allowed just five earned runs for a 1.88 ERA. He put together a 3-1 record with two saves and 25 strikeouts and didn't surrender a run in any of his final five appearances of the regular season.
Ayden Sciandra, Utility - Sciandra finished the regular season with a .288 average, driving in 20 runs with 10 extra-base hits, three of which were home runs.
GOLD GLOVE
Kincaid, Pitcher -Â Kincaid won his second gold glove at Midway, his first coming in 2023. He had a perfect fielding percentage in both gold glove seasons and has made just two errors in four seasons as an Eagle.
