MIDWAY, Ky. - Midway baseball came in fourth place in a preseason poll of River States Conference coaches released on Thursday.

The Eagles got 57 vote points, sandwiching them between No. 3 Shawnee State (65) and No. 5 Indiana Kokomo (49).

Oakland City, which defeated Midway in the championship round of the River States Conference Tournament a season ago, came in first with 77 points while Indiana Southeast was second with 72.

The Mighty Oaks got five of 10 first-place votes, with the others being split between IUS (three) and Shawnee State (two).

Midway baseball will begin the 2026 season in February, though a full schedule has yet to be finalized.
