Pyles wins Pitcher of the Year, eight Eagles make All-RSC team

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - River States Conference Pitcher of the Year Tyler Pyles led the charge for a Midway baseball team that had eight players recognized as members of the All-River States Conference Team, the league announced Thursday.

Pyles cleaned up as he also earned sports on the All-First Team as well as winning a Gold Glove in a season where he had a perfect fielding percentage.

The senior lefty is the first Eagle to ever win the RSC Pitcher of the Year award, and the honor was well-earned, as his eight wins, 2.10 earned-run average and 86 strikeouts all led the conference during the regular season.

Pyles, who has yet to lose a decision this season, enters this week's conference tournament needing just one win to set a Midway single-season record. He is currently tied with Dylan Burton, who went 8-3 in 2023.

Below is a list of all Midway's other all-conference honorees.
