HENDERSON, Tenn. - An undefeated Freed-Hardeman team proved too strong for Midway, as a short-handed Eagle team fell 3-0 in a non-conference men's soccer tilt Saturday afternoon.
The Lions held a 13-6 shot advantage and didn't allow Midway to record a shot on goal the entire game.
After the Eagles kept the lead at 1-0 for an extended period, Freed-Hardeman put the match away on goals by Thabo Mahlaha and Avery Flener 13 minutes apart in the second half.
Now 1-0-2 on the season, Midway will return home for a pair of home matches before the start of River States Conference play, starting with an in-state matchup against Campbellsville Tuesday afternoon.
