MIDWAY, Ky. - It was a great start to the new season for the Midway Esports program, as both the Rocket League and Rainbow 6 squads opened the fall with wins.
Rocket League on Wednesday rolled to a 4-1 win over Loyola University Maryland in a best-of-seven series. The Eagles put forth an all new team, as Aaron Middleton,
Dylan Hoskinson and Tabari Kinlaw Lopez all secured wins in their debuts.
The Rainbow 6 squad swept a best-of-three against the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Midway was led by
Hunter Yeager, who had 24 combined kills between maps one and two.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Several Eagles are also currently competing in one-on-one matches.
Owen Capria, who went 3-0 in a series of matches last week, was 2-1 playing Street Fighter 6.
Riley Ogden and
Cody Griffith both competed in Guilty Gear, Ogden going 1-2, Griffith going 0-3.
